Chronology: December 1, 2010

With the 111^th Congress nearing its end, hopes for amendment action are bleak, marking only the second Congress in more than 16 years in which there was no floor vote on a flag protection amendment.  There is no expectation for action on Capitol Hill before Congress adjourns.  Anticipating return of the amendment in the next Congress, efforts get underway to assess flag amendment support among members of both the House and the Senate in the 112^th Congress.
